Mr. Kobayashi of Cosina-Voigtlander does it again!

Maker of the Bessa L, R, R2, Bessaflex and a host of Leica Screw Mount and M lenses (not
to mention some of the most innovative accessories on the market) comes to the rescue of
Pentax K-Mount enthusiasts.

The VSL43 is a complete SLR kit at a price even a student could love. This kit is an
APERTURE PRIORITY SLR (single lens reflex camera) that can set the exposure for you
automatically. With shutter speeds up to 1/3000 of a second, it can freeze even the fastest
action.

Don't think the VSL43 is a toy though, it can also be used with completely manual metering.
The 35-70mm zoom lens covers a wide range of perspectives...from wide landscapes to a
pleasing portrait length lens. They didn't forget the macro function either! This camera is as
versatile as similar SLR's costing hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars more.

The Voigtlander name is also synonymous with style. The steely satin-chrome of the prism
and top plate are complemented by the rubberized body AND LENS in matte black. The
lens includes a distance scale as well to aid in composition and a SELF TIMER for those
shots that the photographer just has to get in.

The features of this camera are impressive and the quality is consistent with the high standard
of quality in anything that bears the label "Made in Japan." Cosina-Voigtlander does not out
source their production to Southeast Asia like other manufacturers have resorted to (Canon
and Nikon's equivalents at this price point are often made in Vietnam or Thailand.) You won't
have to carry this camera gingerly as you hunt down your best shots anywhere!

When you decide to expand your lens collection beyond the zoom lens that comes in the kit,
you will also have over 25 years of Pentax-K Mount lenses to choose from. These are
available on the used market for pennies on the dollar quite often...a bargin amoungst bayonet
mount lenses!

This camera is for those on the go. It weighs less than 1 lb. and it's 15-dot LED meter display
is sensitive from EV-1 to EV- -19.5. You will be prepared for just about any lighting
situation. The pentaprism is bright and has both a microprism and split image and a fuzz-in,
fuzz-out matte.

On the VSL's 35-70mm f3.5-4.8 zoom lens there is multicoated and rubberized for
protection. The kit comes with the body, zoom lens, strap, body cap, lens cap, batteries
and a multilanguage instruction booklet.
