The Y2 filter is used to slightly increase the contrast for more definition between the sky
and land in BandW photography. For more contrast, use the YA3 Orange filter, or for
much greater contrast, use the R1 Red filter. They can also be used with color films to tint
an entire scene. The R1 filter is used to dramatically increase the contrast when used with
BandW films.
